In Proverbs 31, we find a woman who is excellent, virtuous, trusted, kind, fears the Lord, respectful to her husband, wise and full of energy to name some of her attributes. When I first read Proverbs 31 I felt like this is unattainable not to mention what is the husband doing. I immediately went to the Lord in prayer and asked if I can have these characteristics of an excellent wife/woman. Now mind you the answer was yes with the help of the Holy Spirit. As I pursued the Lord in this quest I quickly learned that this was going to take renewing my mind daily. I had been used to what the world said a wife is, dependent, got her own mind, her own money, etc. I needed to repent of this way of thinking and begin to think God's way. So I studied His Word and began to apply it to my daily living. What I realized is that if it is in the Word then we can do it.
What I realized about the Excellent Wife/Woman is that it's not that she can't be found it's just that she is rare. I wanted my husband to boast and praise me saying; many daughters have done virtuously , nobly, and well (with the strength of character that is steadfast in goodness), but you excel them all.(Prov. 31:28-29)
I beg of you sisters to desire to be rare, desire to be excellent. Read Proverbs 31:10-31 and ask the Lord
to fill you with His Holy Spirit and give you the discipline to walk in excellence. Repent of any wrong thinking or wrong deeds so that you put on God's way of thinking.
