That's such a great question, one that few of us know the answer to. Well ladies as Christian wives, it's our husbands. After our own personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ the Word of God states in Genesis 2:18 that we are our husbands helper. We are called to help them in whatever way we can. Not control him or run over him but help him. My husband should be the primary benifactor of my time and energy. Now when I first read that I must admit Ladies I had some issues that I had to deal with. The first one was what about me, and the second was what about me?
It first began in the 4th year of our marriage...I knew it had to be more because what I was doing wasn't working. That whole "I" thing was major because I thought it was him who had the problem. So when I finally got tired of myself and had no where else to turn, which is right where God wanted me. He's the One I turned to. So as I blog I will share how He and His Word made the difference in our marriage and He's the reason why I'm still married and loving every minute of it.

Vanessa serves as a dedicated military spouse of Michael, and mother of three sons. Additionally, she is a doting grandmother of a two year old baby girl. Vanessa's many travels in the military have allowed her to use her God given talents to spread the Gospel to women across the country through her pulpit-her styling chair. God has granted Vanessa with a special desire and purpose for serving the needs of women by helping them learn what Christ's Word says about the special role of women in their marriage. Through her life experiences and by using the book "The Excellent Wife", by Martha Peace, she has taught hundreds of women to seek the Lord first, so that all other blessings will follow.

ReplyDeleteI'm very excited as my book comes in the mail today. I've been apart of the study for a week now but they ran out of books. I can't wait to dig in...I know I have to read like 8 chapters to catch up but I have a feeling I'm going to love every minute of it. I love Jesus and my Husband soooo much and anything I can do to ensure that I love them both the way they deserve to be loved...I'm all over it. I am open and bare before God and I really want Him to go deep into places that only He can go to and clean out anything that may still be a hinderence in my walk. I know I have "stuff" and I would love God to wash me and bring me to a deeper place than I've ever been. I look forward to sharing my travels with all of you as we embark on this adventure together.
