Respect...what does that mean to us? Another good question is what does it mean to God and our husbands? I know we want our husbands to respect us but guess what ladies that's what God has called us to do for them; which means it is a need for them and when they don't get it things start to happen, things we don't want to happen. I remember when I realized I wasn't respecting my husband in some areas, which meant for him no respect. What seemed small to me was big to him. I was convicted and went to the Word of God to see what He had to say on this matter. I ended up in Ephesians 5:33 in the Amplified version and it said that I am to see to it that I respect and reverence my husband (that I notice him, regard him, honor him, prefer him, venerate and esteem him; and that I defer to him, praise him, and love and admire him exceedingly)....WOW! I said, don't think I'm doing all that....so I repented, changed my way of thinking and asked the Holy Spirit to help me respect my husband, His way. My reward is that I'm doing what God called me to do and there is a difference in my husband's actions and attitude toward me. AMAZING!
So the challenge is to respect our husband's God's way!
Welcome to being a wife God's way
